Christmas Nativity “Sing along” and party

On the last day of term (Friday 21st December) the children will perform a “sing along” Nativity in the morning followed by a Christmas party and a surprise visitor – more details to follow shortly…..

Website

Although our website is currently being updated, please do take the time to browse the contents.  We would very much appreciate you posting a comment on the “Parent Feedback” page.

Lunch Boxes

Thank you all for sending in such healthy lunch boxes for the children.  Please can we just remind you to include a drink in your child’s lunch box and not to send in any chocolate, crisps or sweets.  Also, please can you make sure you quarter grapes  (even the ones in the shop bought bags) and cocktail sausages.

Water Bottles

Please continue to send your child in with a fresh bottle of water each day, remembering to collect at the end of the session.

School Uniform

We have sold fantastic amounts of book bags and school uniforms so far – thank you to all who have purchased them.  It is lovely to see so many smart looking “Whitchurch Under Fives” children.  We continually have uniform for sale, just see a member of staff.

Wellie Boots/Coats

Winter weather is fast approaching and during free play we will continue to allow the children access to the outside areas of play.  Please can we ask that you bring in wellies to be kept in preschool for those rainy days.  Appropriate coats are also essential for outdoor play in colder weather.

Sickness

During the colder months, no doubt we will have lots of coughs and colds flying around.  If your child is at all unwell, please keep them at home and telephone to let us know.

Donations

We are continually trying to update our resources at preschool, so are looking for donations of old toys that your “little ones” no longer play with such as building bricks, construction toys, dinosaurs, plastic animals, small world toys, dolls, dolls clothes, cars, garages, puzzles etc – these items would gratefully be received.

Supermarket Vouchers

We are now collecting the supermarket vouchers for all supermarkets so please can you send them in with your child to post in our boxes.

Bikes/Scooters

Please can we ask that all bikes and scooters are parked at the side of preschool and not outside the main wooden gate as this could become a tripping hazard.

Home Labels

Please continue to send in labels from home.  It really helps your child bring their home life and interests into their learning. The children love standing at the front of the group talking about their achievements and sticking the labels in their learning diaries.
